Understanding the “Safety Limits (Very High Traffic)” Notification

This article explains the cause of the “Safety Limits (Very High Traffic)” notification displayed for some users in their Sleekplan Admin dashboard

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you see the message “Safety Limits (Very High Traffic)” in your Sleekplan dashboard, it simply means your product is currently experiencing very high visitor traffic.

To ensure that your visitors continue to have the best possible experience — even during traffic spikes — the Sleekplan widget automatically switches to Safe Mode.

What is Safe Mode?

Safe Mode is a highly cached version of the Sleekplan widget designed to:

  • Reduce the load on Sleekplan’s servers during heavy traffic.

  • Maintain stability and responsiveness for your website visitors.

  • Prevent slowdowns or temporary crashes when traffic surges occur.

What changes in Safe Mode?

While Safe Mode is active:

  • The widget continues to display normally to your users.

  • Certain automated features, such as in-app popups or real-time updates, may be temporarily delayed.

  • Once traffic levels return below the safety threshold, the widget automatically returns to normal mode, re-enabling all real-time and automated functions.

Do I need to take any action?

No action is required.

The system automatically detects when to enter or exit Safe Mode based on traffic volume. If your site’s traffic stabilizes, Safe Mode will turn off on its own.
