Why Sleekplan Still Supports Legacy TLS Versions

This article explains why some legacy TLS/SSL versions are still enabled on Sleekplan and how we can selectively disable them for your custom domain(s).

Updated this week

Sleekplan serves a wide variety of customers, including organizations whose end-users access feedback boards and widgets from legacy devices and browsers, such as Windows 8 OS or Andoid phones released prior to 2017. Some of these legacy environments:

  • Do not support modern TLS versions reliably or use legacy ones by default

  • Only work with older, now discouraged TLS/SSL protocols

To avoid breaking access for those users, we currently still allow some legacy TLS versions at the platform level while we continue to:

👉Monitor usage from older clients

👉Re-evaluate which protocols can be safely removed

👉Plan a phased deprecation that minimizes impact for customers

How to disable legacy TLS versions in your Sleekplan application

While legacy TLS is still enabled globally for compatibility reasons, we understand the security concerns from audit scans and customers that only use updated TLS versions.

This means:

  • We keep legacy TLS available for customers who still need it for older end-user devices.

  • For your domains, we can enforce modern TLS only, improving your security posture and helping meet internal or external compliance requirements.

🚩If you’d like to disable legacy TLS versions for your setup please contact our Support team and we can enforce only updated TLS versions specifically for your domain.
