How to Customize Your App Widget Appearance

Customize the appearance for your app widget, including logo, brand color , language, widget positioning , appearance and widget home screen

The app widget is your customers' gateway to providing feedback and staying connected with your product updates. With Sleekplan's customization options, you can seamlessly integrate the widget into your brand experience by adjusting its visual appearance, positioning, and language settings.

Accessing Widget Customization Settings

To customize your widget's appearance, navigate to your Sleekplan Admin dashboard > Widget > Widget Settings . Here you'll find all the customization options organized into easy-to-navigate categories.

📋Brand Settings

👉Logo

Upload your company logo or icon to give the widget a personalized touch

👉Brand Color

Choose a brand color that represents your company's identity. This color will be used as the background color of your feedback button and throughout various areas of the widget interface.

👉Language

Set the language for all customer-facing parts of Sleekplan, including the widget, website, and emails.Here’s a list of Supported Languages.

📋Widget Position

Control where the widget appears on your website by choosing between left or right positioning.

👉Show Button

Toggle this option to show or hide the feedback button. If you prefer to open the widget manually using your own custom button or link through the Sleek SDK, you can disable the default button here.

👉Button Position

Decide whether your feedback button should appear at the top, middle (vertically centered), or bottom of your website.

👉Button Size

Choose between a large or small button size. The large option displays the full button, while the small option shows only the icon, perfect for maintaining a minimalist design.

👉Button Icon

Select the icon that best represents the purpose of your feedback widget. Options include a question mark and other relevant icons that signal to users they can provide input or ask questions.

Adapt the widget to match your application's visual style by choosing between light and dark widget modes.

👉Content Presentation

Feedback Post Excerpt: Enable this option to display a brief excerpt below each feedback title, giving users a preview of the content before they click through.

Changelog 'Read More': Show a "read more" button on longer changelog posts, allowing users to expand content when they're interested in learning more details.

👉User Actions

Customize the actions available to users within the widget to match your workflow and engagement preferences.

Control which sections of Sleekplan appear in your widget's navigation menu

📋Home Screen

👉Reactions (Satisfaction Survey)

Control whether the default satisfaction survey appears on your widget or website. Disabling this option will hide the survey from the home screen.

👉Module

Set the main module you want displayed when users first open the widget. For example, you can choose "Action Screen" to show your custom action items immediately.

👉Fallback

For standalone websites, select a fallback module to display when the action screen isn't available. Options include directing users to the Feedback Board or other key sections.

👉Action Items

Create custom action items that appear on your widget's home screen. These can be links or post actions that guide users to specific pages or prompt them to take certain actions. You can edit or delete existing action items, and add new ones using the "New Action Item" button. Each action item can be customized with a title, type (link or post), and size (large or small).

📋Content and Terms

Personalize the text that appears throughout your widget:

👉Widget Title: Customize the greeting message, including dynamic elements like the user's full name (e.g., "Hi {user_full_name} there").

👉Widget Description: Write a welcoming description that explains the widget's purpose, such as "Together we can discuss new ideas, suggestions and solve problems."

👉Satisfaction Voting Title: Customize the prompt for your satisfaction survey (e.g., "How would you rate your experience?").

👉After Satisfaction Voted: Set the thank you message that appears after users complete the satisfaction survey.

👉Login Popup Title: Customize the title that appears when users need to log in to interact with the widget.

💡With these customization options, you can create a widget experience that is aligned with your branding and design guidelines.
