How to Hide (Unpublish) a Changelog Without Deleting It

This article explains how to hide an already published changelog entry in Sleekplan without permanently deleting it.

Updated today

Sometimes you may publish a changelog and later realize it needs to be taken down—maybe the feature was rolled back, the announcement contained incorrect information, or the update is only meant for a limited internal audience. In these cases, deleting the changelog entirely is not ideal, because you might still want to keep the content, links, or internal history. Instead of removing it permanently, you can simply hide (unpublish) the changelog from your public feed while keeping it safely stored in your Sleekplan Admin dashboard.

How to hide an already published changelog (without deleting it)

Step 1: In your Admin dashboard go to the Settings section > Segmentation > Create Segment

Step 2: Create a segment :

  • Give the segment a name

  • Create a rule which purpose is to only display this segment for a specific user, such as an admin user , a dummy email address or a dummy user id. In the example below we created a dummy user id :

Step 3: With the Segment already created go to the Changelog section in your Admin dashboard and apply the segment to the changelog or changelogs you need to unpublish

✅ Once yo do this the changelog won’t be shown to users on the front end and you will be able to keep in your Admin dashboard Changelog section for other internal purposes.

⚠️ Segmentation feature is only available in the Business Plan
