Link Sleekplan feedback posts with ClickUp tasks and keep status in sync

The Sleekplan ClickUp integration lets you create new tasks or link existing ClickUp tasks with your feedback posts, so you can push feedback to ClickUp without leaving the Dashboard.

Quick Links:

1. Install the ClickUp integration

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations

  • Search for ClickUp and press "Install"

  • You can choose one or multiple Workspaces from ClickUp
    โ€‹(Note: The integration requires a 1 to 1 relationship, which means that one ClickUp workspace will be linked to one of your Sleekplan workspaces. If you have given access to multiple ClickUp workspaces, you can choose one from the Integration settings at Sleekplan later)

  • Press "Connect Workspace" to continue

  • You'll get redirected to Sleekplan. Now, if you have multiple Workspaces at Sleekplan, you can choose one to connect ClickUp

  • Press "Connect", to finish the setup!


2. Configure the ClickUp Integration

To access the settings for your ClickUp integration, navigate to:

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations

  • Search for ClickUp and select "Settings"

Switch the connected workspace:

If you have provided Sleekplan with access to multiple ClickUp workspaces, you can choose which one Sleekplan should use to create and link tasks. To switch the connected workspace

  • Select > "Settings",

  • "Select Workspace" > Open dropdown menu and select the workspace to connect.

  • Press "Save settings"

Sync status with ClickUp Tasks:

The Sleekplan for ClickUp integration comes with a two-way sync feature. So if you update the status at Sleekplan, we will update the linked task on ClickUp as well, and if you update the status for a ClickUp task, we will reflect that status update on Sleekplan. To be able to use the status sync, you will need to map your existing ClickUp statuses with Sleekplan.

Once you have installed the ClickUp integration, we pull all available statuses from your workspace and list them below the integration.

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations

  • Search for ClickUp and select "Settings"

  • Select a ClickUp Status for every Sleekplan status you want to keep in sync. If you want to skip a specific status just select "None".

  • Once you're completed, press "Save settings" and Sleekplan will immediately start to listen for status changes on both ends.


3. Using the ClickUp integration

Now that you have installed the ClickUp integration, you will find a new sidebar widget on each post, that lets you create new tasks or link posts to existing tasks on ClickUp.

1. Connect a Sleekplan post with an existing ClickUp Task

  • Open a post (not in preview mode)

  • Find the ClickUp module on the right sidebar

  • Search for a Task using the Task title

  • Press the search icon next to the input field

  • Select the ClickUp task you want to link to the post

  • Done

2. Connect a Sleekplan post with a new ClickUp Task

  • Open a post (not in preview mode)

  • Find the ClickUp module on the right sidebar

  • Select "Create new Task"

  • Fill in the details for the ClickUp Task and press "Create"

  • Done

3. Unlink a Task

  • Open a post (not in preview mode)

  • Find the ClickUp module on the right sidebar

  • Select "Unlink issue"

4. Keep track of linked posts on ClickUp

When you create or link a task to a feedback post, a link to the Sleekplan post will automatically be added to your ClickUp task, so you can quickly hop into action.
